Kilcoyne Farms Black Angus

Our Black Angus cattle are pasture-raised; this application of grass-farming requires expert knowledge and skill to maintain healthy soil and sustained pasture management. The high-quality forage and low stress lifestyle of the cattle results in exceptionally healthy, succulent and tender beef.

Ground Beef

Did you know that, legally, commercially sold ground beef may be a product combined from many animals (including non-productive old dairy cows), raised on numerous farms and from numerous feedlots around the county?

In fact, ground beef may contain scraps and shavings left over from processing all the main cuts – prime parts, roasts, steaks, the smallest trims for stew meat, etc. — and ground with connective tissues and various other body parts. Some stores even add coloring to keep the “fresh” appearance and water for extra weight. Wholesale commercially ground beef may also be irradiated and could contain e-coli, salmonella and other dangerous food born organisms.

We take personal pride in the superior quality, healthy nature and exceptional flavor of our ground beef. Our preformed patties and convenient one-pound packages contain no fillers, only 100% Kilcoyne Farms Black Angus beef carefully ground with just the right amount of fat to ensure the perfect flavor.

There is additional information available about the benefits of consuming meat from animals raised the way we raise them at Kilcoyne Farms.
